Free Trial Week at the JCC
Try these youth classes for free during the week of August 28-September 1. Regular class sessions start the following week.

* Please note: The JCC also offers other youth classes that are not part of the free trial, including dance, basketball, Krav Maga, tennis, swim lessons, swim team, classes in Hebrew and Russian, and preschool classes. Your first dance class or tennis lesson is always free though if you're new to dance or tennis at the JCC.)
Martial Arts (grades K-5)
Monday, Aug 28, 3:45-4:45pm. Learn martial art techniques focusing mainly on Tae Kwon Do, accompanied with life lessons such as discipline and respect.
Cartooning (grades K-5)
Tuesday, Aug 29, 3:45-4:45pm. For kids who love to draw! Led by the professional illustrators and animators of Kids Creative Adventures, kids learn character design, adventure drawing, creature feature, anime/manga style, and traditional cartooning.
YogaKids (grades K-3)
Wednesday, Aug 30, 3:45-4:45pm. Learn yoga poses and techniques through storytelling, props, and imagination, with instructor Linda Adleson.
First Lego League (grades 4-8)
Wednesday, Aug 30, 3:45-4:45pm. Introduces kids to real-world STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) challenges by building LEGO-based robots to complete tasks on a thematic playing surface.
Soccer (ages U6 to U10)
Wednesday, Aug 30, 4:00-5:00pm. Soccer at the JCC is run by Liverpool Football Club. Each week players have a 1-hour training session on Wednesdays and a 1 hour scrimmage/match on Sundays. With nationally licensed coaches from Liverpool Football Club IAA Bay Area. Players are divided into Under 6, Under 8, and Under 10 age groups.
Beginning Circus Arts and Floor Gymnastics (ages 5-12)
Thursday Aug 31, 3:45-4:45pm. Basic floor gymnastics, tumbling, and circus arts. Learn globes, air track, aerial and more. Instructor Jeanette Bent has extensive experience running her own circus studio and teaching circus arts to kids.
Specialized Circus Arts (ages 7-12)
Thursday, Aug 31, 4:45-5:45pm. Focus on one specialized circus skill each month, such as trapeze, Spanish webs, silks, globe walking, air track, etc.
Tinkering (grades K-1)
Thursday, Aug 31, 3:45-4:45pm. Play-based STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) projects. Learn how things work, build, create, explore basic scientific and engineering concepts.
Jr. First Lego League (grades 2-3)
Thursday, Aug 31, 3:45-4:45pm. This STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) program features real-world science and engineering challenges, explored through research, critical thinking and imagination.
Bizzy Bodies (grades K-3)
Friday, Sept 1, 3:15-4:15pm. Get fit with sports, movement and imagination activities, obstacle courses, tumbling, balance beam work, hula hoops, aerobics and much more. With instructor Marcella Tamayo.
