Youth Swim Lessons

Call 408.357.7428 to Register

We offer small group ratios that guarantee our ability to focus on individual development. Students learn to be safe and strong swimmers while focusing on technique and correct form as they progress.

We offer lessons for adults too. Contact the Aquatics Office for details: aquatics@apjcc.org or 408.357.7428.

Parent-Tot Swim Lessons (ages 6 months-3 years)

Our Parent-Tot Swim Class is designed to teach parents and children how to work and play together in the pool.  Swim instructors use a variety of songs and games to encourage skill-based play to help children acclimate to the water while learning swimming skills and having fun.  Parents will learn to use cueing to help their children become comfortable in the water and prepare them for our preschool swim lessons.  We will have fun interacting with other families while we learn kicking, bubbles, floating and even submersions.  This class provides a fun and safe environment for parents to bond with their children in the pool.

This class requires adult participation and is for children 6 months-3 years old.  All children must wear both a disposable and reusable swim diaper.

To apply for this financial assistance, please complete this scholarship application and return it to the APJCC Membership Office.

Thank you to the participants in the APJCC Adult Master Swim Class, who created the scholarship fund for youth to learn how to swim!  The Master Swim Class participants personally know the joy of swimming, and the importance to have all youth learn how to swim, regardless of the financial capability of their families.

If you would like to contribute to this scholarship fund, please contact Jon Kaplan, Director of Development, at jon@apjcc.org or 408.357.7401.

A note about fees: If you are registering a child for an aquatics program, please note that the program fee is based on the child's JCC membership status, not the parent's JCC membership status. If the child is a Full Center Member, he or she receives the Full Center Member discount.
