Lunch and Learn: The JCC's Jewish value of the month
The APJCC is undertaking an exploration of the values that underlie our community and inform our behavior. You are invited to a monthly series of lunch and learns on Fridays at noon to examine how these values are rooted in Jewish sources, what we already do to put these values into action, and what more we can do to enact them.
No need to register in advance. Free, drop in, and open to all. Bring your lunch.

Moms' Circle is in held in Club J, on the school side of the JCC building. Coffee and bagels provided.

Introduction to Judaism
An overview of the Jewish life-cycle, holidays, and ritual. During the course of the year, students will gain an understanding of Jewish belief, history and calendar and gain exposure to important Jewish books including the Hebrew Bible and the Talmud. Each session includes thirty minutes of Hebrew instruction. Sessions will rotate among local synagogues and the APJCC based on which rabbi is teaching. Please note that the class location rotates. Come join Rabbi Ilana Baird for events and classes offered in Russian. Rabbi Baird has served communities in Russia, Germany, Israel and the United States. She founded a liberal synagogue in Haifa and is a graduate of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion’s Israeli Rabbinical Seminary program.
