About the bands:
Fresh off of Headlining the kids stages at Austin City Limits and Lollapalooza, Two-Time Grammy Nominees, The Pop Ups bring their unique new show “The Great Pretenders Club” to a stage near you! Featuring songs from the critically acclaimed Amazon Video Special, as well as classics from their two GRAMMY nominated albums,“The Great Pretenders Club” takes family audiences of all ages on a scavenger hunt for the best imaginative-play games your mind can dream up! This high-energy journey transports audiences into a whimsical, educational world with Dancing Robots, A Fire-Stomping Rhino, Live-Drawing, Huge Balloons, Full Scale Puppets, even a Costume Party! This highly interactive show unfolds, propelled by award winning music, and dance beats that will catapult both young and old out of their seats!
Uses their own distinctive style of rock to transform Sephardic folk music into a sound that is both brand new and centuries old. They released two albums on JDub Records and have toured internationally with other like-minded bands such as Gogol Bordello, Os Mutantes, Ozomatli and Balkan Beat Box. Their 3rd LP, Tremor Fantasma, was recorded in Mexico City and was released Oct. 2012
Tel Aviv-based band Boom Pam formed in 2003. They play a mixture of Mediterranean rock and surf music in the format of a unique quartet including: Electric Guitar, Tuba, Keyboard and Drums. Last summer, Boom Pam performed with Selda on the main stage at the Primavera Festival in Barcelona. Today they continue to tour around the world with Selda, and are forever creating interesting collaborations with various musicians in Israel and abroad. The band recently released a single with the successful Israeli Hip Hop artist, Nechi Nech.
We are partnering with the Children's Discovery Museum to create a family friendly area filled with crafts, games, and even a bounce house!

In addition to the JCC's lot, parking will be available at the church next door, at the office building across the street, and at the businesses on the north side of University Avenue. A shuttle will be running all day between the remote parking and the JCC.
