Current Events (ages 55+)
Join the conversation, let your voice be heard! Join us weekly for a lively discussion and stimulating conversation, news of the week and stories that touch our lives. Moderators rotate each week. We meet Tuesday mornings in the Adult Lounge.

Grandpals Shabbat (ages 55+)
Help explore and impart our rich traditions to our APJCC Preschool children.  Join us monthly through out the school year for storytelling, art, songs and Shabbat to connect the generations. This program runs during the school year, on selected Fridays from 9:15am-10:30am.

Grandpals Shabbat will resume again in Fall 2017.

Friday Shabbat Lunches (ages 55+)
A once-clientuploads/adults/Shabbat Lunch.JPGa-month get-together on Fridays from 12:00-2:00pm in the APJCC Auditorium. Enjoy a catered hot lunch followed by entertainment. $6 JCC members, $8.50 non-members, and $10 at the door.

Upcoming dates include:

  • May 19 - Lecture and performances from San Jose Opera Guild
  • No June lunch
  • July 28 - "Maintain Your Brain" with CareMore


APJCC monthly Senior Shabbat Luncheons are made possible, in part, by a generous grant from the Milton and Sophie Meyer Fund.

Mah Jongg: Drop-in
Card tables are available in the JCC’s main lobby for your convenience, on a first-come first-served basis. Activity rooms are also available for game play on Tuesdays 12:30-3:00pm where you can play Mah Jongg, Canasta, Bridge, Chess, and more. Activity Room play is  free for JCC members, $5 for non-members. If you are interested in playing in a regular Tuesday  group, contact Cherie Ravel at cherie@apjcc.org or 408.357.7462.
